Our
Mission
Stepping Stone Academy Foundation
is a nonprofit agency for teenage mothers and their children starting off in the state of Tennessee. SSAF's goal is to help young women along the way from Pregnancy to Parenthood and Childhood to Adulthood. We are a part of the proposals for a resolution.
With social engineering, we can attempt to manage social change and regulate the future development and behavior of our next and new generations to come. There is a way to give support and care for someone from the ages 10-25. In hopes of developing a small community to give these young women and children a clean slate by introducing them to a different environment with consistent discipline and structure.

Identifying the problems and the need
At Stepping Stone Academy Foundation we are dedicated to identifying and addressing the pressing challenges faced by pregnant and teen mothers in our community. Our hearts are filled with compassion as we recognize the systemic issues that affect this vulnerable population. Among these problems are the utilization of state funds (tax dollars) by pregnant teenage girls, the lack of intentional, coordinated, full-scope resources to prevent/mitigate poverty, teenage pregnancies vs. dropping out, and other barriers created by teenage pregnancy.
We firmly believe that every mother deserves an opportunity to overcome these obstacles and thrive. That's why we are committed to providing a comprehensive support system through our non-profit organization.

Stability is key in life. Our goal is to give pregnant and teen mothers a safe and nurturing environment where they can raise their children and build the foundation to an abundant future.
Life planning, child development and assistance finding resources can change the outcome of someones life tremendously. Our goal is to help each family prepare for their future by providing access to resources.
Only about 50% of teen mothers receive a high school diploma by 22 years of age, whereas approximately 90% of women who do not give birth during adolescence graduate from high school. We provide a safe space and alternative ways to achieve their education/career goals.
